A trip with great views and detours

Start at the trail hub west of Ottsjö Fjällby, through pleasant forest. Turn left at the first junction, up the steep hill. The terrain eventually levels out and, after 1 km, you are up on the Plateau. Once there, the route continues with 3.5 km of pleasant skiing to the wind shelter, where you can take a break and enjoy the 360-degree mountain views.

If you want to get to the top of Hållfjället, continue on the trail for 400 m and then turn right. Otherwise, continue to Hållvallen, an old shieling where the cabin is a cosy spot for a rest. If you light a fire, please do so carefully and make sure it is out before leaving. Please use the wood from the woodshed.

Glide along the edge of the Plateau over gently undulating terrain. If you want to enjoy the landscape even more, you can take a short detour to Kläpphögarna before gliding back to the village. Glide back to the village through undulating forest on the edge of the plateau. Don’t miss the views!
