Vällistetoppen
A summit walk with astounding views
Start at the car park for the ski lifts at Trillevallen and walk along the gravel road, through the forest of mountain birch and up onto the open ountainside. Take the chance to enjoy the view and the flowers on this tough climb. If you are interested in flora, you can see rare alpine plants on Välliste around Midsummer.
Magnificent views are your reward at the top. With Sylarna to the west and the Anaris massif to the south, you are in the perfect picnic spot. Just north of the cabin, you walk past a memorial stone to a 6-year-old girl from Ottsjö, Brita Olson. She got lost and froze to death on Välliste in 1878.
As you continue north along the edge of the mountain, there are views of the Indalsälven valley. Before coming down into forest of mountain birch, take the path southward and complete the circle on the gravel road you walked up.
