Lill-Sapporo
popular family outing with an Olympic feel
This popular trail is a short, family-friendly version of the tough Olympic trail that was used for training for the 1972 Olympic Games in Sapporo. There are two options for reaching the trail: take the mountain station’s lift and follow the trail to the start, or ski the lit trail and then take the “Intervallspåret”.
This route goes through open terrain and winds across a marsh on the edge of Ottfjället. Enjoy the magnificent views across the Vålån valley and the surrounding mountains. There are two wind shelters close to the route – one at the top of the lift and one along “Intervallspåret”.
The trail is groomed for skating and classic skiing. Depending on the snow depth, the route varies slightly from year to year.
To ski back again, take “Intervallspåret” down and then follow the lit trail back to the mountain station.
