ENJOY THE OLD-GROWTH FOREST

You can now join route 240 by taking route 242 from the ski lift parking. This is currently just a connecting route.

If you are staying in the Bergstedt cabins, you can take route 242 to Torget, then continue to 240 and walk around Välliste. You can also take 242 and join route 241 at the ski lift parking.

From Bergstedt cabins, you initially pass through young forest. After this, you come to what local children call Ronja’s ancient forest, which is full of amazingly old and bearded spruce trees. One of them can be used as a troll’s den!

From the car park, you will also walk through old-growth forest that looks like it comes from “Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter”.
